A deployment ceremony took place June 14 for approximately 70 Soldiers from the Illinois Army National Guard’s Battery B, 2nd Battalion, 122nd Field Artillery and approximately 25 Soldiers from the Headquarters, Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion, 122nd Field Artillery. The Soldiers will deploy to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The total length of their mobilization will be about one year.
